Taking Action for Living Systems

Taking Action’s mission is to develop an enterprise-based approach to increase the climate-adaptability of living—landscape, forest, and human—systems.

This mission is to be accomplished by addressing the following objectives:

1. Educate, empower and incentivize landowners, community groups and businesses to implement climate-resilient management plans
2. Provide leadership and relationship-building activities to support greater inter-agency, cross-sector, and regional cooperation
3. Facilitate expansion of appropriate management infrastructure components to support enterprise operations
4. Encourage development of science-based management strategies fitted to the environmental characteristics of regional landscape systems
