Pamela Campbell

Chief Executive Officer

A lifelong interest in sustainability and the environment led Pam to ISI. She joined ISI in the summer of 2013. First as a client, and then a volunteer, one thing led to another and in January 2014, Pam became Project Director for ISI. Three years on, following the death of ISI founder, Loren Cole, Pam became Chief Executive Officer for ISI. She holds a BA in Political Science, UC Berkeley, and a Master’s degree in Public Administration, University of San Francisco. Pam lives, draws and paints in Santa Rosa, with her cat, Bochy, and her dog, Meadow, in an intentional housing cooperative.

Jenna Svobodova

Business Program Manager

Jenna (real name: Jirina) joined the ISI team in April 2016. Jenna brings plenty of Quickbooks and computer experience with her to ISI, along with all-around excellence when it comes to teamwork and attitude. Mother to two young boys, Jenna stays busy with hockey and swimming, helping her husband with their solar company, and being an all around great Mom. Jenna hails from the Czech Republic, coming to the states for college twenty years ago. She holds a Masters Degree in Economics and Finance from The University of Agriculture, Prague, Czech Republic, and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Coastal Carolina University, South Carolina.

Claudia Meglin

Special Projects Manager

Claudia joined ISI in summer of 2017, as our Special Projects Manager and all-around organizational development specialist. Claudia has over twenty years experience as executive team manager and creative director for many international projects. Her calling in life is to bring together creativity and business to design sustainable and regenerative systems. She holds an Integral MBA in Creative Enterprises for Social Transformation from Meridian University and is currently pursuing her PhD. in Integral Noetic Science. She lives and works with her artist husband and her pets in rural Nevada City.

Mallory Clay-Harrigan

Senior Manager of Project Services

Mallory joined the ISI team in December of 2019. She is a California native and long-time Bay Area resident, and has lived in Marin, San Francisco, and currently calls San Jose home. Having worked in customer service and support in high-end retail, publishing, and e-commerce, she brings a wide variety of skills to the ISI team. She has an AA degree from College of Marin in Liberal Arts and Sciences, a BA degree from University of California, Davis in Art History, and is a licensed cosmetologist. Mallory can usually be found exploring hiking trails with her husband, cooking up a storm in the kitchen for friends and family, or with her nose buried in a book.

Cheryl Roycroft

Human Resources Director

Cheryl joined ISI in the fall of 2021 taking the lead on all things HR!  Cheryl brings many years of HR experience with as she spent several decades working in the corporate sector in HR. Cheryl was ready to jump back into the HR world after taking a few years off and relocating to North Carolina with her husband.  Cheryl holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Central Florida in Business and she earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  Cheryl has 2 grown step-daughters and 2 grandchildren along with 2 chocolate lab pups.  Cheryl is a distance runner and has run numerous Marathons including Boston, New York and Chicago several times. In addition to her love of running she enjoys the outdoors and her and her husband enjoy traveling the country in their RV.

Jacquie Elledge

Operations Manager

Jacquie (she/her) joined the ISI team in September of 2022. She comes to us with 10+ years of supervisory and operations experience in corporate retail. In 2016, she was recruited to operations in the nonprofit sector. There she supported development, while spearheading finance, logistics, and events. In addition to her professional career, Jacquie is also a successful fiber artist and craftivist. Specializing in custom hand embroidery, her work ecompasses pop culture, politics, and social justice themes. Originally from Western New York, she currently resides in Santa Rosa with her husband and their pets. In her free time, she enjoys reading, films, and juggling many creative hobbies. 

Jamie Boling

Finance Director

Jamie Boling (she/her) joyfully joined ISI in August 2023 as Accounting Manager. Jamie brings diverse skills from her work as a co-founder of a cannabis justice nonprofit and from her experience as a finance and accounting consultant for small business and nonprofit founders. Jamie received a Bachelor’s of Science in Communications with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee – Knoxville. Her familial roots are in the mountains of Appalachian East Tennessee where she grew up. Today, Jamie is a mom to one sweet kiddo in Santa Rosa, CA, where she has been based since 2011. Outside of ISI, you might find her sipping herbal tea, visiting the mountains or the sea for a hike, or admiring the stars on a clear night.

Dionne Douglas

Accounting Manager

Dionne joined the illustrious team at ISI in June 2024. She enjoys mentally recharging in nature, observing the flow of water, smiling at the birds chattering with each other, and being hugged by the breeze. You can also find her gardening or snuggled up in one of her handmade crocheted blankets, reading a novel. After earning her MBA and Bachelor’s in Accounting, she gained extensive experience in financial accounting leadership and auditing within both the for-profit and non-profit industries.

Gil Friend

Board Member

A systems ecologist and business strategist with nearly 40 years experience in business, communications, and environmental innovation, Gil Friend combines broad business experience with unique content experience spanning strategy, systems ecology, economic development, management cybernetics, and public policy. Tomorrow magazine called him “One of the country’s leading environmental management consultants—a real expert who combines theoretical sophistication with hands-on, in-the-trenches know-how.”

 

Constance Grauds

Board Secretary

Connie Grauds joined the ISI Board of Directors in 2009. Connie serves as President of the Association of Natural Medicine Pharmacists; Adjunct Faculty, University of Minnesota, Center for Spirituality and Healing; and as Advisory Board member, Integral Health, California Institute of Integral Studies.

 

Kirk Marckwald

Board Treasure

Kirk is the Founder of CEA and has been at the helm as a Principal since 1984. His deep experience in energy and environmental regulation provides the foundation for CEA’s work with a variety of private and public sector clients. Prior to establishing CEA in 1984, Kirk was the Under Secretary of California’s Natural Resources Agency and served as the Director of the Office of Appropriate Technology. He also held various positions at the U.S. Department of the Interior.

Judy Kitt

Board Member

Judy joined the ISI Board of Directors in 2021. As a Clinical Research Consultant and President of the Board of the Foundation for MindBeing Research, a scientist by training and profession, Judy focuses on exploring the nature of the universe, ancient wisdom traditions, and scientific evidence of the “unified field” — a world that works for everyone.

S. Loren Cole

Founder of Inquiring Systems, Inc.

Dr. Cole founded ISI in 1978, to provide ethical and sustainable ecosystem management services to nonprofit organizations, community-based projects, and value-driven for-profit entities. Cole holds the first PhD awarded by UC Berkeley in the field of Ecosystomology.

For over thirty-seven years ISI has provided ethical business consulting services, and development & resilience management services for both nonprofit and for-profit business enterprises. As a key element of ISI Development & Resilience Services, and ISI’s overall systemic approach to management, Dr. Cole has stepped into the roles of President, CEO, COO, Controller, Business Manager and Director, for 37 organizations and corporations over the years.

Dr. Cole is the founder of the Environmental Program within the Conservation and Resource Studies Program, U.C. Berkeley. Winner of many awards and commendations, Dr. Cole is a keynote speaker & guest on radio and television. He has published numerous articles and papers related to his areas of expertise.
