ReclaimRestorePointReyes advocates for the gradual sunsetting of ranching leases (permits) in Point Reyes National Seashore (PRNS) and for increasing funding for this severely underfunded park. Ultimately, ReclaimRestorePointReyes wants to see all of the lands within the park boundaries be used for the natural world and for recreation, not commercial activity. However, we acknowledge the need to collaborate with the local West Marin community, a community that is predominantly agricultural.
Our advocacy work takes place in person at the Bear Valley Visitor Center (in PRNS), at other appropriate locations, and on social media. PRRR also advocates by organizing and producing events and by some lobbying of state and federal agencies.
